FMG updates this section monthly to share some of the more significant releases and enhancements you may enjoy learning about.


New SPF Verification for Email Subdomains - 12/15/23

SPF verification for email subdomains has been updated to provide a smoother customer experience for those who have previously experienced technical difficulties during the SPF email verification process. This change means we'll now verify subdomains instead of primary domains. This allows for enhanced email deliverability, ensuring that emails sent through FMG will reach the intended recipient without being flagged as spam or pre-blocked due to spoofing, and will increase open rates. The process for verifying a custom domain remains the same. There is no impact on customers who have already verified their email domains.

What is SPF verification? 
Email services use SPF (Sender Policy Framework) to check if an email comes from a legitimate source. It compares the IP address of the sending server to a list of authorized IP addresses specified in the SPF record of the domain name associated with the email address.

Why is SPF verification important?

  • Improves email deliverability: Emails with valid SPF records are more likely to be delivered to the inbox than emails without SPF records.
  • Protects your domain reputation: By preventing spoofing, SPF can help to protect your domain reputation and prevent your domain from being used to send SPAM or phishing emails.
  • Complies with industry standards: Many email service providers and hosting companies require users to implement SPF records.

Compliance Website Library Cases Now More Modern & Intuitive - 11/28/23

Cases within the Website Library are now able to be viewed in a more consistent and user-friendly way, providing compliance users with more information per submitted piece and more options for viewing submitted material. This upgrade can be found within the Library > Web Content section. You will find these new enhancements to be more in line with what you see in the library cases for email.

The enhancements include more descriptive approval options, better filtering, and the ability to see content authors, keywords, and social post previews.

  • Type filter (article, calculators, infographics, quizzes, and videos)
  • Status filter (hidden, pending review, visible)
  • Additional options and details under the Actions dropdown:
    • Social posts previews
    • Web content previews with expanded information (author, keywords, FINRA letter, and additional FINRA details)

Enhancement Made to Social Sequence Scheduling - 11/14/23

Customers using the Social Sequence Builder can now set a "Start Date" and select individual dates for each post in a sequence rather than only adjusting the interval between posts.
The change gives customers visibility into the scheduled dates for each post in a social sequence within the Social Sequence Builder. More Information

New Design Process for Premium Websites - 11/1/23

We recently retired the templated website approach for Premium websites in favor of a custom, design-centric model. We transitioned to a more personalized, consultative website design process for Premium customers to better tailor their sites to their brand and goals. This change is driven by our commitment to deliver a more personalized, tailored experience to our customers.

Content Library is the New Default Page - 10/18/23

The Content Library has become the default landing page for all subscribers. Previously, the default page was the Dashboard. We have removed the "Dashboard page" from our platform so that our customers can have faster access to the Content Library, which is the top-used page within the platform. Please note that while website analytics for website customers were previously displayed on the Dashboard page, giving a quick overview of the customer's website metrics, we have found that Google Analytics is the most widely regarded and recommended site for monitoring website metrics. Customers can access their Google Analytics account directly to view their website metrics.


Publisher and Compliance - Enhancement for Downloading Web Content - 10/10/23

To make getting approval and saving the latest copy of web content effortless, we’ve added a "Download as Doc" button to all web content for home office representatives with Publisher and Compliance accounts.

  • Compliance Users: The "Web Content" download option allows Compliance to save a copy of the version they are approving. Once "Web Content" is clicked, you can find the "Download as Doc" button in the upper left.

  • Publisher Users: The "Download as Doc" button allows Publisher users to get approval in 3rd party compliance tools as needed. When you preview a published "Web Content" piece, you will find the "Download as Doc" button once you click the "Action" dropdown in the upper right.
